The Vintage Verandah

Save the World Use Reclaimed Wood

Our slogan at The Vintage Verandah is “Save the world buy Vintage”.  Falling into this category is using wood salvaged from the demolition of old buildings, for new purposes. Everywhere in the design industry you see reclaimed wood being used.  Such a relevant part of preserving history as well as the environment, reclaimed wood can be incorporated into almost any part of your home. Don’t be deceived into thinking its only for use in rustic, farmhouse style homes. Its uses can carry over into the very modern space as well.

Have you been dreaming of adding some reclaimed wood to your architecture in your residence, cabin or business? Do you have a potential feature wall, base of an island or a powder room that needs some instant character? How about a back splash, skirting on your basement bar or baseboards? Here are a few ideas to help your get creative.
